Nathalie was introduced to Hatha Yoga at the ripe old age of…12!
Two decades later she became a certified Yoga Teacher herself to share the benefits of yogic movement.
Nathalie on the mat:
Nathalie thoroughly enjoys classes that are both playful and challenging. She thinks yoga is the ultimate workout since it provides cardio, strength training and flexibility all wrapped up into one fun and graceful sequence. Yoga makes us mindfully sweat to unveil the natural beauty of our spirits. There is so much more to yoga than meets the eye. It is not just twisting ourselves into asanas. It is a truly ancient scientifically designed approach that gradually quiets the mind and connects us with our True Self. A deeper understanding of who we are and what we are capable of is revealed on our mat. The beauty of yoga is that what we learn on the mat translates into who we become out in the world. Forget the magic carpet – your mat has transformative powers that make you soar like an eagle with health and happiness! As one of Nathalie’s teachers, Jody Rufty, said so eloquently: “I do yoga to be reminded of who I am”.
Nathalie started practicing yoga decades ago in the old fashioned tradition of Hatha Yoga by Satchidananda and has explored many different modalities and styles ever since. She completed her teacher training at YogaWorks in NYC in October 2011 which has a strong focus on structural integrity to ensure a safe practice preventing injury. The YogaWorks style is influenced by the three styles born from the Krishnamacharya lineage: Ashtanga Vinyasa, Iyengar and Desikachar’s Viniyoga. In 2023 Nathalie also completed the professional EM Yoga Teacher certification courses to integrate the Chinese 14 meridian energy system with the Ancient Vedic 14 nadi’s, and thereby making your yoga practice not only balancing, but also healing.
Nathalie’s background in massage therapy gives her a deep understanding of human anatomy. Besides her vast knowledge and experience it is Nathalie’s compassion, and understanding of human anatomy and human being along with her uniquely calm soothing presence and levity that are most appreciated and valued by her clients. In these over-scheduled and stressful times Nathalie’s compassion, peace and light heartedness provide a safe and supportive atmosphere for learning and growing.

Nathalie off the mat:
Nathalie Francois was born in Belgium and raised in a health conscious, artistic and spiritual environment. At the young age of 12 she was introduced to an intensive yoga practice incorporating meditation and Hatha Yoga. This upbringing was an influential and integral part of her ongoing life’s journey.
In 2001 she became professionally involved in the alternative health and wellness sector. For the next five years she transformed a 115-year-old home into a haven of wellness for clients and friends. Managing a holistic wellness practice she substantially added to her knowledge of health care, wellness, nutrition, diet, homeopathy, biofeedback, spirituality and multiple alternative medicine and health care modalities. It was during this period that she became more attuned to the healing and nurturing effects of massage therapy and yoga.
In 2006 Nathalie started her own company, Wholesome Life LLC, offering massage therapy, yoga and life coaching to help clients improve their quality of life. She believes a Wholesome Life is established and maintained by living wholeheartedly with a peaceful mind in a balanced body!
